Five U.S. soldiers killed in Baghdad

Five U.S. soldiers were killed in a shooting incident at a U.S. base in Baghdad on Monday, the U.S. military said.

The soldiers were killed at about 2 p.m. (1100 GMT) at "Camp Liberty" a U.S. military facility near Baghdad International airport, a military statement said.
The statement did not provide further details about the incident but said it "is under investigation and more information will be released when it becomes available."
According to media count based on Pentagon figures,the latest deaths bring the number of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq to about 4,292 since Iraq invasion in March 2003.
